The following is a corrected list of the burglaries in NLR as reported the NLR Times for the week of July 13th. There are several burglaries identified in the wrong neighborhoods and the best available or closest neighborhood is listed in parantheses for those misidentified.
This list is also NOT ALL the crime in the City for the week. This list represents the burglaries only. Other crimes like assaults domestic disputes, trespassing etc. are not shown.
Argenta
Date: July 18
Address: 3429 Poplar St. (This is in Park Hill)
Summary:
A residential burglary was reported. Upon their arrival, they found
that the victim and other witnesses had held the suspect on the street
as they waited for police. The victim said he came home and found that
the front door had been taken off its hinges and saw a man inside the
home. The victim chased the man and eventually, with help, held the
suspect at 2200 Magnolia St. Police also found a crack cocaine pipe in
the suspect’s front pocket. He was taken into custody, and the pipe was
placed into evidence.

Baring Cross
Date: July 8
Address: 1914 W. 20th St.
Summary: A
residential burglary was reported in which electronics and clothing
worth a combined $310 were taken. Police also found $130 worth of
damage to a door and window. The victim believed that an ex-boyfriend
was responsible, and that person called while police were present. No
collectible evidence was found at the scene.

Address: 711 W. 20th St.
Summary: A motorcycle and other
items worth a combined $1,220 were taken in a residential burglary. The
victim, through an interpreter, said the motorcycle and other things
were missing when he returned from work. An open window at the
residence appeared to be the entry and exit point. No usable evidence
was collected at the scene.

Summary: A Sony PlayStation worth $100 was taken in a
residential burglary, and a door worth $100 was damaged. The victim
said that when he arrived home from work, he found a man, who fled. A
door was found to have been pried open, and that was believed to be the
entry and exit point. No usable evidence was collected at the scene.
Dark Hollow
Date: July 9
Address: 622 E. 19th St.
Summary:
A residential burglary was reported. Items worth a combined $595 were
taken. Police couldn’t find any sign of forced entry. The victim had
not been staying at the residence because it did not have air
conditioning. No usable evidence was found at the scene.

Summary:
Cash and other items worth a combined $408 were taken in a residential
burglary. Police couldn’t find any sign of forced entry. No usable
evidence was found at the scene.

Address: 622 E. 19th St.
Summary:
A Nintendo and games worth a combined $110 were taken in a residential
burglary. It appeared that an unlocked window was the entry point. No
usable evidence was collected at the scene.
Date: July 16
Address: 304 E. 12th St.
Summary:
A residential burglary was reported in which nothing appeared to have
been stolen. The victim reported a door broken at the residence; the
damage was estimated at $300. No usable evidence was found at the scene.
Lakewood
Date: July 17
Address: 2900 Lakeview Road
Summary:
A commercial burglary was reported by the North Little Rock School
District. The police responded to a burglary alarm at the high school’s
East Campus, and when police went into the building, they found someone
hiding atop cabinets in the band room. He was arrested but told police
he had entered through an open door and was not trying to steal
anything. No sign of forced entry was found, and the arrestee had no
tools or anything on him.
Levy
Date: July 1
Address: 901 Parker St. (This is in Baring Cross)
Summary:
A commercial burglary was reported at the Centers for Youth and Family.
A door was forced open, causing $50 worth of damage. A set of keys to
interior doors was missing. This was the second night in a row that the
building was burglarized.
Date: July 6
Address: 133 W. 47th St.
Summary:
In a delayed incident report, a residential burglary was reported.
Missing from the home were jewelry and electronics worth a combined
$5,600. The victim believed that someone took the items while he was in
the hospital. No sign of forced entry was found, and no usable evidence
was collected at the scene.

Adress: 4917 Parker St.
Summary:
A laptop computer and a pistol worth a combined $2,100 were taken in a
residential burglary. The victim said the front door had been kicked
in. Police did not find any usable evidence at the scene.
Date: July 21
Address: 915 W. 45th St.
Summary:
A residential burglary was reported in which $40 in cash was taken. The
victim also reported damage to a door worth $100. A window to a door
was broken, then the door was kicked in. The money was in the victim’s
piggy bank. No usable evidence was collected at the scene.
Mid-City
Date: July 19
Address: 505 N. Olive St. (This is in Argenta)
Summary:
Electronics worth a combined $260 were taken in a residential burglary.
It appeared that a front door had been pried open, and that was the
entry point. The exit point was the back door. Police couldn’t collect
any usable evidence at the scene.
Military Heights
Date: July 19
Address: 120 Pershing Blvd.
Summary:
Prescription drugs and cash were taken from a hotel room in a burglary.
Police found no sign of forced entry but observed that the door was not
secure. No usable evidence was collected at the scene.
Park Hill
Date: July 17
Address: 5110 Velvet Ridge Drive (This is Levy)
Summary:
A residential burglary was reported in which electronics worth a
combined $3,850 were taken, including a 73-inch flat-screen television.
No sign of forced entry was found at the residence, but police
recovered fingerprints from the scene.
Rose City
Date: July 13
Address: 816 Blossom St.
Summary:
A residential burglary was reported in which two TV sets and two
vehicles were stolen. The combined value was $3,800. The victim said a
door had been kicked in. He said he had been away and didn’t know
exactly when the cars or TVs were taken. No usable evidence was
collected at the scene.

Address: 4129 E. Broadway Ave. (The closest neighborhood is Dixie)
Summary:
A commercial burglary was reported at Dollar General, where $3,600
worth of clothing and fans were taken. A door worth $500 had been
damaged, and the wiring to the television and videocassette recorder
for the security system had been cut. The damage was estimated at $30.
The detectives division was notified and took over the investigation.
Scenic Hill
Date: July 21
Address: 2513 Bay Oaks Drive
Summary:
A residential burglary was reported in which an Xbox and games worth
$200 were taken. A door worth an estimated $50 was damaged. The victim
said a door had been kicked in and the items taken. Police found that
the door had been damaged but couldn’t collect any usable evidence at
the scene.
