The Central Arkansas Development Council announced that it has depleted its funds for the Emergency Food and Shelter Program for Pulaski County.

The program was designed to assist lower income families who needed assistance with utility and rent bills. They originally announced the program in June and stated they would be taking applications until October 31st, or when the money ran out. So what was a 5-month window for assistance has exhausted its funds in half the time.

CADC is a private nonprofit community action agency that was formed in 1965 to fight and win the “War on Poverty.” The mission of CADC is to improve the quality of life and build strong communities in Arkansas. For more information, please contact the CADC Metro Office at 501-603-0909.
