Ted Wayman Neal
February 18, 1936 to August 4, 2008
Ted Wayman Neal, 72, of North
Little Rock, passed away at home on Monday, August 4, 2008 surrounded
by his loving family.
Ted was born to the late John and Cleo (Dupree)
Neal, February 18, 1936 in Warren, Arkansas. He served in the Arkansas
National Guard from 1954 – 1964. Ted graduated from Scott High School
in 1955. He was married to Genora, his loving and devoted wife of 42
years. Until his retirement, he worked as an automobile mechanic and
was of the Baptist faith. He also enjoyed camping, deer hunting, loved
chocolate shakes and talking about old cars.
Survivors include his wife, Genora Elrod Neal; daughters, Janie
Culwell (Tim); DeeDee Neal; Susie Neal; and Heather “Poopsie” Neal-Rice
(Danny); three brothers, Bob, Don and Jerry Neal, all of North Little
Rock; two sisters, Corinne Harris and Judy Neal; seven grandchildren
and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister,
Peggy Rouse.
The family wishes to acknowledge the care and comfort provided by
Arkansas Hospice staff-Deanna, Charles, Patty and Porscha. These
caregivers were extraordinary compassionate people and our family is
grateful for their presence.
Memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice, 5600 W. 12th Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72204.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday at North Little
Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Arkansas Memorial Gardens.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Thursday at North
Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and
