Comment Policy

The comment section will be essential for the success of Dogtown Wire. However, we will not accept comments from individuals anonymously. You must register with an e-mail address to create a user name. As is done in letters to the editor in newspapers we would prefer commenting be done with your real name, but we will accept fictitious user names set up though the registration process at Dogtown Wire. There is a two-fold reason for this. If you feel it is worth the time you take to write a comment, we feel it is worth being identified with your fictitious user name or real name, so fellow readers can come to know each other and their stands on issues. In addition, commenting and responding to comments by multiple anonymous user names is difficult to follow. No one person can come up with all the best questions, so your questions asked within the comments section will be invaluable for follow up stories to have all the facts come out. Comments will be monitored to ensure they are on topic for the story being discussed. Latitude will be allowed for the discussion, but crude and inappropriate language choices will not be allowed.
