Robbie Nieswanger at Razorback Central, part of the Morning News of Arkansas did a story about a North Little Rock native and Razorback Senior Cornerback, Jamar Love. The story is about his progression during the preseason, and his developing role for the Hog's defense.
Read the Morning News Story.
To keep from overinflating expectations.. here's the outlook on Love from the official Razorbacks website :
OUTLOOK: Love started two games last year and with the loss of all
four starters in the secondary, he used spring practice to emerge as
the starter at left cornerback heading into the season. He is listed
ahead of senior Shedrick Johnson heading into fall camp. He will also
likely be used on special teams. He had two tackles, both solo stops,
in the Red-White Spring Game. He also had two tackles, one solo and one
assist, in the first major scrimmage of the spring.

The Angels seems to smiling on the Travelers lately. The Los Angeles Angels Organization recently reassigned Catching Tandem Ben Johnson and Tim Duff to the Travs from the Triple A Salt Lake Bees. Johnson was a 2008 Texas League All-Star before being promoted to Salt Lake on July 6th. Before being promoted Johnson was batting .267 with a league-best 20 home runs and 71 RBI. Catchers Flint Wipke and Brian Walker were reassigned to the Single A Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. Hopefully Johnsons return will help the bolster the Arkansas offense as they prepare for the Texas League Championships.
Youl'll be able to see Ben Johnson Wednesday night, Aug 13, when the Travs return from their current road trip against the San Antonio Missions. Also Thursday night is clunker night for all those interested.

If you have the stuff, you can still sign up for a less strenuous
form of an Iron Man competition being held at Camp Robinson June 28.
KTHV’s story said you have until midnight Thursday to sign
up online for what will still be a grueling test of athletic ability and
stamina in this year's six-hour Ozark Extreme sprint.
You can compete alongside members of our armed forces in a 3
to 6 mile run, a 10 to 15 mile mountain bike course, and a 1 to 2 mile canoe or
kayak course.
